I fancy ketchup!

My friends know that. What happened yesterday is beyond the beyonds. But here is a picture to prove that I am not kidding you! What you see is just a part of that nice painting I have on my kitchen wall now. Make yourself comfortable in the chair and the story beginns....
Once upon a Saturday, I went into the fridge for a plastic curry ketchup bottle I brought from Holland in July. I had it in my right hand and I was two steps from fridge when the bottle exploded. What was left ...have a look in the picture. Moreover the stains were on my T-shirt, jeans, socks, kitchen towels, table cloth, kitchen floor, carpet, spice bottles, kitchen unit and in my hair too! And I always thought such thing could happen only in the movies! Gosh!

Blond Bond

Presentaion of a Bond movie is always an event of enourmous cultural importance. Even this time but in vain, I would say. Sexy Pierce was replaced by red-blooded stiff Daniel Craig. Well enough! Quantum of wild car raids makes me think that James is extremely skillfull alpha-male, which he surely wants to be. And omnipresent - he moves to and fro and is everywhere. What is disappointing is this Ukrainian Bond girl, which stays untouched and is replaced by a red-haired dull lab-rat, later all wrapped in raw oil. Soooo lame! If there is any solace left, than I look forward to a new installment or I will watch Casino Royale again...while ironing.

Vincent in Vienna

Saturday was a trip day - to Vienna, with two colleagues of mine: Jana and Jana:-). In Albertina (www.albertina.at) there is an exhibition on Vincent van Gogh's drawings and pictures. We were smart enough to book the tickets in advance via online ticket portal of Albertina to eliminate the queueing time but it didn't help much. Courageous enough we jumped the long line to get to know that we have to stand in the line anyway. The reason I purchased the tickets in advance "kurze Wartezeiten" disappeared. It took us approximately one hour and a half to get in. The nightmare of queues still followed us anyway but once we got in it transformed into a crowd nighmare. 9 rooms stuffed with real art were stuffed with creatures of all races, nationalites and appearencies. No air. If you found 50 square centimeters of space and air...you were lucky.
In 35 minutes I managed to absorb all bits and some masterpieces Vincent painted within his lifetime. Drawings were brief, pictures colorful in general and meaningless in detail. That guy was very talented. Do you smell the shoes?
The artists whose "works" were displayed in the floor above Vincent (Austrian Art in Albertina - From 1970) were less lucky. At least some of them. Only The Red Mouse made sense to me, more or less. The "Micky Mouse" picture is huge!
Other quasi-cultural experience were also present - some shopping in Mariahilferstrasse (Jana and Jana bough a red coat and a pair of high green boots), magnificent Hofburg, coffee in Cafe Ritter and slimy waiter who spoke few Czech words: všechno? (when taking the order), chutná? (when checking if we like what we ordered), skoro deset (when passing us the bill).
We got home and it was skoro deset.

Do you Support Lesbiens?

I do! And I enthusiastically did on Tuesday, which was my Desire! I am going through Regenaration now but I Bet My Soul that it sounds like a Cliche. This band will never be Fameless. Apology but they played just for an hour plus three extra songs. Maybe because of their Strawberry Days, September Rain or the guys were simply Twice Shy. The basic mission is you Gotta Get Home...Meditating to Drift Off Sober. Don't use the Telephone. Lets Just Sing! The singer guy is Sweet Little Something, isn't he?
And the special guest category was represented by Clou.

November rain

There has been no rain yet! Sooner or later it surely will rain. It is still very hot outside; today, it has been like summer day. In the course of the day I am checking weather in Malaysia - Katka and Victor enjoy their November there! It seems to be pretty hot in there - around 29°C but with scattered storms. Pre-honeymooners:-)
Last week I had my Indian friend Prashathi coming to Brno. She stayed at my place for few days and tested my orange living-room sofa. In December she is coming again to Brno and this time she is testing a couch of Alexa and Sorin:-). She stays in Amsterdam (or more specifically in Weesp near Amsterdam) with her husband now but works remotely for Brno. I hope she will like the multi-culti nature of the "Tulip-land". Speaking of which, I haven't heard from the other flat-lander Radka. She is surely busy with her law studies. It is hightime to check the flight tickets and pay a visit again.
My mum started her new job today - a nurse assistant at a General Practitioner here in Brno. Hope it hasn't been much stressful from the start but first days are usually like that. Good luck with your new job!
