Getting ready!

I am getting ready for my Cuban trip. Slightly excited slightly nervous but mostly rational. All activites in my life are currently somehow linked to the "trip". When I think of coming weekend....oooops and suddenly a line of "what-is-left-to-be-done" is rolling my head. There are already one to-do-list and one packing list in my diary and still new and new stuff creeps up.
The biggest issue is - how am I going to pack all the stuff? Honestly, I have no f.....g idea! I am a spoiled lady and I am not able to pack myself for almost 4 weeks into a 50-liter backpack. One week in Scotland or Holland was ok and these places are in the part of the world called "civilized", which means that if something was left in Brno, I simply bought it. But Cuba is not the case...according to Lonely Planet. And therefore I came to a simple conclusion - never read a guide before you board the plane! Unless you need to know what voltage is hidden in the socket. Thanks to this super-guide (but LP is really cool!) I got the feeling that I am going to spent 4 weeks in a country where today means yesterday. Or does it not?

Rodeo (doesn't) Drive

With restaurants it is similar as with men. You give them a chance and it goes wasted anyway:-). I went for lunch to a franchise restaurant here in Brno - Rodeo Drive. Again. And again, I left it dissappointed. But this time for sure - I will never ever go there again. Not only the food is lousy and waiters slow, but the staff has in fact no idea what meals are on the menu - or the cook doesnt know how to cook potato soup, which was soup of the day but I got garlic soup instead (and this one was soooo saulty). Second course was of similar quality, unfortunately, and I was still hungry. Good enough to spoil my afternoon, grrrr:-/ If there are personal charts, in my chart Rodeo Drive is straight at the bottom.

BANG on you!

What a successful weekend it was! Arranged GameCon night greatly fulfilled my expectations. Our team had 2 new members, who managed it to fit in very smoothly! Unlike me, they understood the rules of Bang! and other games almost immediately. Simply I am the dummy in the group:-)
I had my friend staying over on Saturday. She is brokenhearted but she really fights hard. Though being knocked down she doesn't give up at all. Do men deserve our attention? Do they deserve us? I heard her saying: "I thought he was different...and I trusted him!" Good intentions at the beginning and trust are twisted into consternation in our eyes when we find out that he is cheating on us. This is simply happening and I am afraid there is nothing we can do about it.
Sunday was a Little Žibřa day. He is a sweet little something but this something has slightly grown and now looks like a well-baked pie and is soooo cute:-) Well, I guess I already mentioned that some time ago!
Cuba Cuba Cuba...place where I plan to go for a holiday in March! Yaaaayyy!
