All of a sudden I became a dog owner. A colleague of mine went on a holiday with her husband and there was no one left to take care of their dog. Being good friends with it since it was a puppy, she asked me to babysit. I accepted with pleasure as this task of the highest responsibility brings up a few side issues into my life. This cute creature means a lot to me in many ways.

First of all, its name is Monty Ošmera and he was a wedding present. Losing him would mean an innumerable loss. Double attention is paid to him everytime we are out and even texting while walking is not allowed. This opens an issue of extreme self-control. To fulfill his dog needs I have to convince myself to do things even if I don't want to (= am lazy). My natural laziness vanished on Tuesday afternoon and is likely coming back on Monday evening. And it is not only me who cares - my parents come for a visit only to see him. Today, my Dad stopped over to walk him (and Mum came to take him out yesterday).
Monty doesn't have any special regime but I have to feed him only certain amount of dog food plus a few coachies a day in case he does something cool. Very positive thing on him is that he is very well trained. I must really appreciate his owners' patience that they have taught him so many orders which he obeys. However, I don't dare to leave him out of leash when we are out. He runs sooooo fast!!! If you throw a tennins ball as far as you can, he is back within 4 seconds....he is that quick:-)
Whoof!
